Breeding Welsh Sec A, B & C's

Dancha Stud is a small family stud located in the North west of England in Lancashire, it is run by Husband & Wife team Daniel & Charlotte Lucas.

Charlotte has been into horses since a little girl, she started off with a pony and progressed to do BSJA, she did this until the age of approximately 18 when she bought her first welsh! since then she has stayed close to her roots of show jumping as she still owns her last pony Colwyn Jay Jay and her purchase of the J.A pony Splash of Blue.

However she now concentrates more on the showing of her youngsters and producing them for the ridden.

She started off with 1 sec A gelding bought off a friend because he was 'cute' she then bought Ari her first colt and has never looked back.

We now own 3 colts and 1 stallion. the 2nd of those colts was bought for Danny to start his in hand career, he is of course the sec C 2 year old Evolution George.

It is only this year that we have decided to go into the breeding side of things ourselves, Ari has a couple of foals with mares owned by other people but we decided it would be nice to breed some foals of our own!

We have now purchased a sec A Cremmello mare, a sec B cream Mare and a sec C bay mare with strawberry roan foal at foot.

all being well she should breed some quality foals with substance breed standards and colour!
